On the one hand, it's nice that Firaxis is being thorough (and we get a hilarious quote for finished "Experimental Weapons" research), but now we are essentially saying that those stories where we find out what happened to Vahlen and Chen are now non-canon, as much as that means with this series.

One thing that I'm not necessarily happy about is that in order to update the previous DLCs (nerfed Rulers, buffed SPARKs), then you will need to disable the story missions that come with them.

Not quite cold turkey, but cut back on my own quirks a little. So only one me, and only have one redhead for each separate class, including the new Faction ones. Going into WotC lean, with only troops who I put some actual effort into creating. So I'm going back, and doing some pool cleaning. And those redheads? I'm sorry to say that I basically just used the design philosophy "like this character, but with this hair/skin/face/armor instead", and just filling in the name and background later. I want my character to show up, and the more characters I had in my pool, the less likely that would happen in a timely fashion, so I essentially created alternate versions of myself to "up the chances" as it were. The thing is, the creation of my clones was mostly from a statistical standpoint. I mean, I have those lists backed up, of course, don't want all that work to go to waste.
I'm also considering removing all the various "clones" I had created, essentially all the different versions of me, and a majority of all those redheads. Had gone on a binge of just hitting the random button and tweaking what I got, so I just had a list of ~107 generic soldiers clogging up the list.

Don't know how mods are going to react, so I'm making sure they've only god base game stuff. I'm actually trimming down my character pool right now in preparation for WotC.
